CDRH

The Center for Digital Research in the Humanities, <http://cdrh.unl.edu>, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is a joint initiative of the University Libraries and the College of Arts & Sciences.  CDRH is advancing collaborative, interdisciplinary research in the humanities by creating unique digital content, developing open source tools for text analysis and visualization to aid humanities scholars, and conducting workshops for students, staff, and faculty.

Since 2004, CDRH has been placing talented students on research teams in the disciplines of English, history, anthropology, classics, and modern languages & literatures (especially French and German).  With more than twenty-five research projects in progress,  there are many opportunities for interns to participate in research related to such sites as the Walt Whitman Archive (http://www.whitmanarchive.org), the Willa Cather Archive (http://cather.unl.edu); the Omaha Ponca Digital Dictionary (in development); and text analysis and visualization tools like Abbot, Evince, and TokenX.  For more information, contact Katherine Walter, co-director, kwalter1(at)unl.edu , or (402) 472-3939.
